Investing energy in production nodes

Nodes can be activated by investing Contribution Points at the Node Manager. Furthermore activating a node allows you to invest Energy into the node which  HOWEVER that still does not explain what investing energy into the farms do: You can invest energy in both the main node of an area ASWELL as the farming nodes within that node. so what does investing in farming nodes do? it cant be mob drops because for example i can invest energy into cooking honey farm node which has no mobs associated with

The monsters/mobs around the area will drop more items, it will not increase production , for that you need better workers, investing energy in a node will produce 10 % more item drops in that area for mobs you kill at lvl 10 energy investment . For example investing on Hexe Sanctuary Giant mobs in that region can drop Summon witch scrolls. If you don't invest it "maybe" it can drop. Now regarding energy that is really hard to put into an actual account if it actually increases it.
